Permanently eliminates pet odours on contact — not just a cover-up.

A ready-to-use spray that neutralises animal odours at the source, from kennels, cages, litter boxes and bedding to car seats, carpets, soft furnishings and anywhere your pet leaves their mark. Also useful for vets during anal gland extractions.

Unlike enzyme-based products or air fresheners, Odorex works through a triple-action formula — counteraction, bonding, and absorption — that chemically eliminates odour molecules on contact. There's no masking, no waiting for bacteria to do the job, and no risk of the smell coming back.

Because it works on contact with the source of the odour, a light spray over the surface won't do it. Soak the area thoroughly so the formula can reach where the smell actually lives, especially with old stains, then let it air dry.

Now in a new, sturdier 500ml trigger bottle. Same trusted formula, with 50ml more than the old 450ml.

Safe around pets and people once dry. Non-toxic, biodegradable, and made in New Zealand.

What is it made from?

Biodegradable surfactants and odour neutralisers.

What odours does it work on?

Animal Odour Eliminator works on all pet-related odours including urine, faeces, vomit, anal gland secretion, tomcat spray and necrotic tissue. It can also be used as an air freshener or to deodorise cat litter trays between changes.

How is Odorex different from enzyme-based products?

Enzyme products rely on bacteria to break down odour compounds over time — and they're neutralised by detergents and cleaning residues, which means they often fail on surfaces that have been cleaned before. Odorex works through counteraction, bonding and absorption, chemically eliminating the odour molecule on contact regardless of what's been used previously.

Is it safe around my pets and family?

Yes. Animal Odour Eliminator is non-toxic and safe once dry — no rinsing required. Briefly ventilate enclosed areas after use and avoid spraying directly onto animals.

How to use

Odorex works on contact with the source of the odour, so soak the area rather than just spraying the surface. Old or severe stains may need a repeat treatment.

1. Remove as much waste as possible from the area.
2. Spray directly on the source of the odour until the area is thoroughly soaked, then leave to dry.
3. If the smell persists, re-apply, making sure the source of the odour is adequately sprayed.
4. For tough cat pee stains use Cat Odour Eliminator, or for larger areas use Pet Cleanup Concentrate. Use the Pet Urine Stain Detector for difficult to find odours.
5. Keep out of reach of children and spot test delicate fabrics before use.
